Fat Loss Challenge: Day 52
Leave a CommentSweet swirling onion rings, I’ve hit a milestone!
As of today’s read out, I am exactly 20lbs down from when I started the challenge and I am quite proud of myself.
It’s been just over 2 months since the start of the competition and I’ve noticed a pattern of weight loss of about 10lbs of scale weight per month.
My fat started around 39% and is down to just below 34%, a loss of about 5%! Now, if I’ve done my math correctly, 281 (my current body weight) * 5% equals 14.05lbs. I’m not completely sure this is how I should do the math, but my muscle mass has remained about the same (between 80-82lbs), so does that mean that most of my weight loss has been fat? I sure hope so, because that’s kind of the whole point of this process. Water percentage has gone up. Which is a good thing. Read this if you want to know what your water:fat ratio should be.
Gah! I’m so pumped! I just want to get out there and get all this weight off.
The biggest hurdle though is getting it into your head that it’s not going to happen over night. I think I’ve said this before, but one time Amber said to me, “You know, it took your body 20 years to get in the shape it is now. It’s not going to go away all at once.” And that sticks in my head every time I get frustrated by my numbers.
Also, I know that Abby encourages us to take pictures, but I am going to now too. If you have a significant amount of weight to lose or if you just want to shape up a bit, whatever the case, take some pics dangit! Even if no-one sees them but you. It’s so cool to see how far you’ve come.
Here are this week’s pics with some face compositions. Kinda cool.
